Role: Senior Support Worker Location: The Lodge, Langport, Somerset Salary: Starting at £12.75 per hour. ( £2 per hour overtime) Hours: 36.75 - 49 hours per week, 7.00am - 19.15pm, includes alternate weekends Due to limits on sponsorship allocations, we are not currently in a position to offer sponsorship to new candidates for these roles, this remains under review. THE ROLE A unique and rewarding opportunity to work at The Lodge in Langport as a Senior Support Worker. The Lodge consists of 3 self-contained apartments and provides support for individuals living with learning disabilities, autism and mental health. As a Senior Support Worker, you will ensure a high standard of person-centred care and support is provided to the people living at The Lodge. You will act as a role model for the care staff and will provide them with supervision and line management support. DUTIES INCLUDE Working closely with the people living at the service on a one-to-one basis. Providing support with their day-to-day care within their own home and supporting them to access the community An active role in care planning, including the implementation of care and support and monthly care plan reviews. Risk assessments Evaluating the care delivered, ensuring person centred care is delivered at all times Making decisions in emergency situations Supporting new team members through their induction period Ensuring observations are kept up to date and recorded accurately Administering medication, therefore medication administration training is preferred but can be worked towards Reporting concerns and accidents THE RIGHT PERSON We are looking for a natural leader with experience of working with people with learning disabilities and autism. Someone motivated, who cares about making a difference and can work to their own initiative.
