This role plays a vital part in ensuring high standards of cleanliness across a variety of spaces, including communal areas, office environments, tea rooms, and hygiene-critical areas such as bathrooms and showers. As Cleaning Manager, you will oversee daily operations, manage resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement across the cleaning service. You will also engage with teams working outside core hours to maintain service consistency throughout the site. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Manage and support a team of 16 cleaners, ensuring effective scheduling, training, and performance management. Operational Oversight: Ensure delivery of cleaning services meets contractual standards and complies with relevant legislation and site-specific requirements. Budget & Resource Management: Control labour and materials budgets, implement cost-effective practices, and drive efficiency through the use of technology and innovation. Health, Safety & Compliance: Uphold and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring a culture of safety across the team. Client Relations & Reporting: Conduct quality assurance audits, maintain service records, and prepare reports to ensure client satisfaction and compliance with agreed standards. Staff Development: Lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of cleaning staff, with a focus on compliance, engagement, and professional growth. About You We're looking for someone with strong experience in cleaning management or a cleaning supervisor who's ready to take the next step in their career. You'll need: Proven experience managing or supervising cleaning teams Excellent understanding of cleaning standards and service delivery in large-scale environments Strong leadership and organisational skills Good working knowledge of health and safety regulations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Competency with standard IT systems Relevant qualifications are desirable (e.g., IOSH Managing Safely, BICSc Assessor, BIFM, or apprenticeship experience) Why Join Us?
