Job Specification – Setter/Operators (Boring & Milling) We are currently recruiting Setter/Operators to support continued growth across our manual and CNC boring and milling operations. Opportunities are available on both Day Shift and Night Shift. This is not a rotating shift pattern; successful candidates will be assigned to a permanent shift. Positions Available * Manual Vertical Borer Setter/Operator * Manual Horizontal Borer Setter/Operator * CNC Horizontal Borer Setter/Operator/Programmer (Heidenhain) * CNC Vertical Borer / Vertical Lathe Setter/Operator/Programmer (Fanuc) * CNC Elgamill Setter/Operator/Programmer (Fanuc) * CNC Hartford Horizontal Borer Setter/Operator/Programmer (Fanuc) Shift Patterns & Hours Day Shift: Monday – Thursday: 08:00 – 16:30 Friday: 08:00 – 13:00 Total: 37 paid hours per week 30-minute unpaid lunch break (Mon–Thu), no lunch break Friday Overtime paid at T 1/3 Sunday overtime paid at T 1/2 Night Shift: Monday – Thursday: 18:00 – 06:00 (4 × 12-hour shifts) All hours paid at T 1/3 Paid lunch break Overtime available Friday after 13:00, Saturday and Sunday Night shift overtime paid at T 1/2 Pay & Benefits: Hourly rate: Skill dependent, up to £23.00 per hour Company pension: 8% total contribution 5% employee / 3% employerHealth & Safety Bonus: £250 every 6 months for qualifying employees Role Responsibilities (All Positions) Candidates must be able to: * Set and operate relevant manual or CNC machines * Program CNC machines where applicable * Work from customer-issued drawings and specifications * Machine medium to heavy workpieces * Self-inspect components to ensure quality standards * Be flexible and willing to work overtime when required Machine Experience (Advantageous) Our equipment includes, but is not limited to: * Webster & Bennett Vertical Borer * 1550mm table, 650mm under crossrail * Fanuc 18i-T CNC, 5-post automatic tool post * Asquith Butler Elgamill * 8m bed, universal head * Fanuc 18i-T CNC, 32-position ATC * 3-Axis Scharmann 160 CNC Table Borer * 22-ton rotary table (2500 × 2000mm) * Fanuc control, facing head, universal right-angle head * 160mm spindle, extensive axis travels Experience with Fanuc or Heidenhain controls, and Cimco CADCam or Fusion software is highly desirable where applicable
