Expleo is proud to be partnering with a prestigious automotive OEM to recruit a Mechanical Engineer - Cockpit Trim & A-Surface to support cutting-edge off-cycle engineering activities. Unlike programme-tied roles, this position sits within an innovation-focused off-cycle team, dedicated to advancing the body of knowledge across cockpit trim, finishers and veneer technologies. You will play a pivotal role in shaping future design strategies, innovation pipelines, and engineering standards for high-end interior systems. This is a unique opportunity to influence short, medium and long-term technical direction, working at the forefront of cockpit design and engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities * Drive development of the Trim & A-Surface engineering knowledge base, including: * Bills of Design * DFMEA documentation * Commodity strategies * Innovation roadmaps * Define and update engineering requirements and validation test specifications Provide technical expertise to programme teams, including: * Quality issue resolution & Part release support * Conduct benchmarking activities to identify best-in-class solutions * Engage with suppliers to track emerging materials and manufacturing technologies * Define and manage validation plans for new concepts and design changes * Support sustainability and environmental initiatives within cockpit components * Collaborate with stakeholders across Design, Attributes, and Perceived Quality...
