About the Role As Teacher of Design Technology (Resistant Materials), you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to contribute to KS5 depending on experience, curriculum offer and timetable. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops: Practical workshop skills, safe working practices and confidence with tools and machinery Design process knowledge: research, generating ideas, modelling, prototyping and evaluation Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and sustainability Strong literacy and technical communication through design briefs, annotations and evaluation writing Exam confidence through modelling, purposeful practice and structured feedback Students will be supported to design and manufacture high-quality outcomes while developing problem-solving and independent working skills. You will maintain high standards for safety, organisation and presentation, and help pupils see the real-world relevance of Design Technology.
