CLASS 1 DRIVERS
DAY AND NIGHT WORK – 7-DAY OPERATION
PAY RATES: £19.50 - £24.00 PER HOUR LTD
CONTRACT DATES: 28.11.2025 – 31.12.2025
People Solutions are currently recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Chorley, Lancashire.
This is an excellent short-term opportunity offering great rates of pay, consistent work, and a professional working environment throughout the busy peak period.

LTD Rates of Pay
• Monday to Friday (Days): £19.50 per hour
• Monday to Friday (Nights): £20.50 per hour
• Saturday: £21.50 per hour
• Sunday: £24.00 per hour
Day-to-Day Duties
• Safely and efficiently drive Category CE vehicles
• Trunking between depots and distribution centres
• Carry out some store deliveries as required
• Ensure all loads are safely secured
• Conduct vehicle inspections and report any faults to management
• Complete deliveries in a timely and professional manner
• Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding any issues or delays
• Comply with all working time rules and driving regulations
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately
Essential Skills
• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Minimum of 2 years' experience driving Category CE vehicles
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six points for minor offences (No IN10, DR10, DD10 codes)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
Desirable Experience
• Over 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
• Experience handling double-decker trailers
Training Provided
• Paid site induction
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
