Are you passionate about safeguarding and committed to creating a safe, inclusive environment for learners? We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader – Safeguarding to join our Student Services team. In this pivotal role, you will lead safeguarding caseworkers and learning & behaviour teams, ensuring outstanding support for students and compliance with statutory requirements.
You will act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality safeguarding provision and promote student wellbeing.
This is a group role. You are expected to travel across North Lindsey college and Doncaster college
Essential Criteria
1. Degree or willingness to work towards, plus GCSEs (Grade C or above) in Maths and English.
2. Previous safeguarding experience within an appropriate setting.
3. Ability to motivate and inspire a staff team.
4. Excellent IT skills for data analysis and reporting.
5. Strong communication skills (oral and written).
Key Responsibilities
6. Lead the Safeguarding Caseworker and Learning & Behaviour teams, providing operational oversight and case management.
7. Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring compliance with local authority training requirements.
8. Monitor data and implement interventions to support individual learners and groups.
9. Make appropriate referrals to internal and external agencies and maintain accurate records on learner management systems (e.g., Pro Suite / CPOMS).
10. Contribute to staff training, resource development, and collaborative strategies to enhance student wellbeing and resilience.
