Job Description
As an Apprentice Administrative Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operations of the office, gaining hands-on experience in administrative tasks within a busy office environment. This is an excellent opportunity to develop professional skills while working towards a recognised qualification.
You will work towards gaining an SCQF Level 5 in Business Administration as part of your modern apprenticeship. You will learn to support and engage with different parts of the business and interact with internal or external stakeholders. As administrative assistant will learn to develop business operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with general office duties including filing, scanning, and photocopying
* Learn to maintain accurate records and documentation
* Learn to support the preparation of reports, presentations, and tender documents
* Train to answer and direct phone calls and emails professionally
* Take initiative to schedule meetings and manage calendars
* Help with data entry and updating project management systems
* Develop relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams
Skills & Knowledge
Essential
* National 4 or 5 qualifications (or equivalent), ideally incl. English & Math;
* Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload;
* Ability to be proactive and work well in a team environment;
* Willingness to learn and take initiative;
* Reliable, punctual and professional attitude;
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail;
* Strong communication skills.
Desirable
* Familiarity of Microsoft Teams or SharePoint;
* Working knowledge of computerised systems;
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
