An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and passionate learning professional to join our team as a Training Manager.

In this role, you’ll blend creativity, structure, and a deep understanding of people development. You’ll design and deliver high-impact training that supports our teams across our 9 Scottish hotels, helping them grow in confidence, capability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities


Learning & Development Strategy

* Lead the design and delivery of a training strategy that supports business goals and enhances the guest experience.
* Identify skills gaps and create development pathways that build capability across all departments.


Training Delivery

* Deliver high-quality training sessions across a variety of subjects, including onboarding, leadership development, compliance, service standards, and systems training.
* Ensure training is engaging, practical, and tailored to operational needs.


Training Design

* Create learning content, workshops, digital modules, and supporting materials.
* Continuously improve training content based on feedback, business changes, and results.


Onboarding & Induction

* Oversee the end-to-end induction experience for new starters, ensuring a welcoming, consistent introduction to the business.
* Work with managers to ensure role-specific onboarding is delivered effectively.


Compliance & Mandatory Training

* Maintain oversight of all statutory and mandatory training requirements (e.g., health & safety, food hygiene, licensing).
* Monitor completion rates and support managers to maintain 100% compliance.


Leadership & Management Development

* Build training programmes for new and emerging leaders, supporting internal progression pathways.
* Deliver coaching and development interventions for supervisors and managers.


Evaluation & Reporting

* Track training attendance, impact, and outcomes.
* Provide regular reports and insights on training effectiveness, completion rates, and developmental themes.


Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

* Partner closely with HR, Operations, and department managers to understand needs and deliver solutions.
* Ensure the training function supports a positive, values-led culture across all sites.


Project Work

* Lead and support key learning projects, including new systems implementations, service initiatives, and leadership programmes.
* Contribute to the development of internal academies, pathways, and career development frameworks.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED…

* Previous experience in a similar training role (Essential)
* Previous experience in hospitality industry (Desirable)
* Ability to use own initiative and work independently as well as part of a wider team (Essential)
* Excellent Communication Skills (Essential)
* Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels (Essential)
* Attention to detail and high level of accuracy (Essential)
* Proficient with digital tools, including LMS platforms, presentation tools, and Microsoft 365 (Essential)
* UK Drivers Licence (Essential)
