* Position: Sales Office Administrator
* Salary: £27,000 per annum plus very good company benefits along with possibility of career progression within the business
* Location: East Grinstead, West Sussex / Uckfield, East Sussex
* Hours: Monday – Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Fridays 08:30-15:45. Office based role but with possible hybrid opportunities in the future
* Role based in East Grinstead/Uckfield. There is plenty of free parking on site available for all staff in Uckfield and at the new office in East Grinstead. Bothoffices are around a 20-25 minute walk from the nearest mainline station.
We are very pleased to be partnered with our large, successful and friendly client as they seek to recruit a Sales Office Administrator to join their team at their offices in Uckfield (the role will move to their new offices in East Grinstead in September 2025). My client is highly thought of within their sector and offers an excellent environment and team in which to work. This role is full time (Monday-Thursday 0830-1700 and Friday 0830-1545 early finish). This is an excellent opportunity to join a very established and highly reputable company.
The role – Sales Office Administrator
Reporting to the Transactional Sales Team Leader, your role will be to assist in the effective and efficient running of key accounts in order to satisfy customer requirements and to ensure continued sales growth. This is not a targeted sales role and is very much an administrative role within the sales department / team.
Duties will include
* Promptly responding to customer enquiries.
* Answering department calls in a timely and professional manner.
* Accurately processing sales orders.
* Logging and following up quotations.
* Account managing top clients to maintain strong levels of business
* Assisting the Account Managers with their workloads.
* Working closely with your Team Leader and the Sales Manager to find new ways of building new and existing business – account managing
Experience, competencies and knowledge required:
* Ideally, you will have a background of working within a sales administration based role within an office
* You must have experience in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
* You will need to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, in order to be able to communicate and build good relationships with external and internal customers.
* You will need to be able to work to deadlines in a busy and friendly environment
