Job Description
We are currently offering an excellent opportunity for a Remote Operating System Operative to join our team in Stanford-Le-Hope. The goal of the position is to operate Automated Stacking Cranes (ASCs) via remote control consoles, which are supported by cameras and video equipment. The goal is to maintain an efficient operation of the ASCs to ensure customer service KPIs are met while adhering to company standards, policies, and procedures.
This role works a 12-hour day and night shift, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (Covering both weekdays and weekends)
About The Role
How will you contribute:
* Remotely operate ASCs from an office, in circumstances that prevent the ASC from operating in automated mode including:
* Loading containers on trucks and terminal chassis on landside interchange zones.
* Unloading containers from trucks and terminal chassis on landside interchange zones.
* Driving to or out of the maintenance position.
* Picking and grounding operations in automatic mode can also be done remotely.
* Checking height of container stacks and container ID’s.
