Role Overview We are seeking a qualified Food Hygiene Inspector to join a local authority in Surrey on a Part-time contract. Key Responsibilities * Lead inspections of food establishments in accordance with Cluster 4 competencies. * Ensure compliance with the Food Safety Act and Health and Safety at Work Act. * Handle complex correspondence and documentation efficiently. * Meet deadlines and align work with Council objectives. * Attend site visits and office meetings as required. * Maintain accurate records and reports of inspections and enforcement actions. Requirements Qualifications / Skills & Experience * Demonstrated competency for food establishment inspections (Cluster 4). * Minimum of 10 hours of Food Core CPD aligned with the Food Law Code of Practice. * Strong knowledge of food safety and health & safety legislation. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
