ASA is seeking a skilled and dedicated Stonemason for various clients in Edinburgh. This position offers a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to work on diverse projects using a range of materials, including stone, lime mortars, and specialist repair systems.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for quality craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of masonry techniques. You will be expected to deliver aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound work, often in collaboration with other trades.
Key Responsibilities:
* Construct, repair, and maintain stone structures.
* Shape and finish materials using hand and power tools.
* Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
* Collaborate with carpenters, welders, and other trades.
* Follow all relevant health and safety regulations.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
* Assist with roofing material installations as needed.
Requirements:
* Right to Work (RTW) in the UK is essential.
* Proven experience in masonry or a related trade.
* Valid CSCS card required.
* Proficiency with masonry hand tools and power tools.
* Familiarity with bricklaying techniques is a plus.
* Ability to work collaboratively with other trades.
* High attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
* Physical stamina for manual labour.
* Full UK Driver's Licence (desirable for travel to multiple sites).
