Job Description:
To lead prevention and intervention efforts to help residents sustain their tenancies. The team, based within Housing Tenancy Management, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to support the Council's goal of maintaining safe communities. The role focuses on addressing reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse, ensuring quick and accurate referrals/signposting, and supporting vulnerable residents to feel safe at home. Developing strong partnerships to assess and manage risks, employing various intervention measures to secure positive outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Address reports of ASB and Domestic Abuse
2. Support victims of Domestic Abuse within HRA and General needs stock, conducting risk assessments, making referrals, and implementing safety plans
3. Attend meetings with stakeholders to resolve ASB cases
4. Provide a resident-focused response to ASB complaints and tenancy breaches
5. Create and manage action plans for case resolution
6. Utilize legislation and best practices for preventative and legal actions, including mediation
7. Conduct interviews with complainants, witnesses, and perpetrators
8. Prepare and serve legal notices, and represent the organization in court as needed
9. Ensure effective communication with victims, families, and perpetrators, maintaining respectful relationships
10. Provide detailed reports based on evidence and needs assessment
11. Handle child and adult safeguarding matters promptly and effectively
12. Manage complex cases involving vulnerable perpetrators of ASB and abuse
Requirements:
* Full driving license and access to a vehicle
* Experience managing tenancy-related breaches in the public sector
