What They Are Looking For
If you are confident, resilient, and have previous experience working with young people, this could be the perfect role for you. They seek individuals familiar with the challenges faced by young people, including childhood trauma and its effects. Experience as a teaching assistant, youth worker, or volunteer is valuable.
The team advocates for their tenants by liaising with agencies, supporting access to housing, education, and employment, and representing tenants in meetings. Patience and assertiveness are essential, especially when managing challenging behaviours, to ensure positive outcomes. You will also support activities such as sports, crafts, and social events to foster engagement and fun.
Working Hours
The role operates on a rota basis, requiring flexibility over a 7-day schedule. The service runs 24/7, with day shifts from 08:00 to 15:30 or 14:30 to 22:00. Night shifts are optional and attract night enhancement rates.
