Food & Nutrition Technician
Required as soon as possible. Band 3: SCP 6 to 11 (£25,989 to £28,142 pro rata) (actual salary: £17,424-£18,868 for working 29 hours per week/38 weeks). To work 29 hours per week (5 days), term time only Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9:30am-3:30pm, Tuesday 8:00am-3:30pm (although some flexibility will be required to meet the needs of the school). Includes a 30 minute unpaid break. We are looking to appoint a Food and Nutrition Technician to work under the direction of the Head of Food and Nutrition, providing practical assistance and support to teaching staff and students.
Successful candidates will play a key role in supporting teachers and students during practical lessons.
You will prepare materials and ingredients, maintain equipment and ensure that lessons run smoothly and safely.

Qualifications
* Have a GCSE or equivalent qualification in English and Maths
* Have experience of working in a food or catering environment (school experience desirable)
* Excellent organisation and communication skills
* Knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices
* Able to work constructively as part of a team, and understand how children learn in order to support them
