Receptionist - Full Time - Portsmouth Receptionist - Full time Overview Portsmouth Solent Vets for Pets is part of a group of associated practices within the Solent area, including Fareham Park Gate Vets for Pets, Fareham Collingwood Vets for Pets, Waterlooville Vets for Pets and Havant Vets4Pets Vets for Pets. We have been supporting local pets for over 25 years and have been voted one of the top three veterinary practices in the Portsmouth area. Position The position is a full time role working 40 hours per week, spread over four weekdays with a mix of mornings and evenings, and will include one weekend in three Saturdays. There may be occasional shifts at our other four sites. The ideal candidate Provide a polite and confident telephone manner and deal with a range of client emotions. Have relevant client facing experience, with a strong understanding of excellent customer service expectations. Have good communication skills. Be able to work well within a team with non-clinical and clinical staff. Be presentable and provide a positive experience for our clientele. Have the ability to work autonomously and take on additional responsibility. Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel would be of benefit. Previous reception experience is preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided along with the opportunity to expand your learning and career. Key accountability Dealing face to face with our client at reception. Answering the telephone, dealing with emails and communicating digitally with our clients. Booking appointments, taking prescription requests and accurately recording client and patient information on to our in-house system. Working with our bespoke packages to deliver the best care for our patients. Administration tasks, including but not limited to, hospitalisation paperwork, insurance documentation, daily and weekly cash reports and debt handling.
