Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire (Hybrid – 1 day per week in the office)
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specifications Technologist to join a leading UK food manufacturer with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer partnerships.
As part of the Product Development team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet both brand and retailer standards managing and maintaining accurate product specifications and ensuring all technical information and artwork comply with current food regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Write, update and approve finished product specifications for brands and retail customers.
* Ensure all product and artwork information meets legal and customer requirements.
* Liaise closely with internal teams and external customers to maintain accuracy and compliance.
* Support product launches by ensuring specifications and technical data are delivered on time.
* Maintain and update internal databases and systems with relevant product information.
About You:
* Experience working with retailer specification systems or in a technical role within the food industry.
* Excellent attention to detail with a proactive, “right first time” approach.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to meet critical deadlines.
* Analytical, computer-literate, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* A food science or related technical qualification would be an advantage.
