Were currently recruiting on behalf of a long-established and well-respected regional main contractor based in St Albans, who are seeking to appoint a talented Bid Writer to join their growing pre-construction team.
This business delivers a diverse portfolio of new build and refurbishment projects across the commercial, education, residential, and public sectors typically valued between £1m£10m. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for high-quality delivery, theyre now looking to strengthen their bid team.
The Role:
As Bid Writer, you will play a key role in producing compelling and high-quality written content for PQQs, tenders, and framework submissions. Working closely with the Pre-Construction Manager, Estimators, and Directors, you'll help shape winning submissions that align with the companys strengths and values.
Key Responsibilities:
Write clear, concise, and persuasive bid content tailored to each client
Coordinate input from different departments to support responses
Maintain and develop the bid library and case studies
Proofread and quality-check all submissions for consistency and tone
Support with marketing and business development material when needed
About You:
Proven experience as a Bid Writer in construction or a related sector
Strong writing and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work collaboratively
Knowledge of public and private sector procurement processes is desirable
