Tiling Project Manager

Role Overview
The Tiling Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of commercial tiling projects from pre-start through to completion. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards, while managing site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and client relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery
1. Manage multiple commercial tiling projects concurrently
2. Oversee projects from contract award through to final handover
3. Develop and maintain project programmes and schedules
4. Ensure works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications, and contracts
5. Manage variations, delays, and scope changes
Cost & Commercial Management
6. Monitor project budgets, costs, and margins
7. Approve labour, material orders, and subcontractor costs
8. Work with estimating and commercial teams on variations and final accounts
9. Identify and mitigate commercial risks
Site & Team Management
10. Coordinate site supervisors, tilers, and subcontract labour
11. Ensure adequate labour and resources are allocated to each project
12. Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings
13. Resolve site issues and maintain productivity
Health, Safety & Quality
14. Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies
15. Implement and monitor quality control procedures
16. Ensure works meet industry standards and client expectations
17. Address defects and manage snagging works
Client & Stakeholder Liaison
18. Act as the main point of contact for clients, main contractors, and consultants
19. Attend site meetings and progress reviews
20. Maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders
Skills & Experience Required
21. Proven experience as a Project Manager within tiling, finishes, or construction
22. Strong knowledge of commercial tiling systems, materials, and installation methods
23. Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
24. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
25. Strong organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
26. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Qualifications (Desirable)
27. Construction-related qualification or trade background in tiling
28. SMSTS / SSSTS / First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
29. Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes
