Wastewater Assets Field Manager (East) Role Description Reporting to the WWPL Assets East Area Manager, the Wastewater Assets Field Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective deployment of resources and assets to ensure regulatory compliance at wastewater treatment works and to meet all relevant customer and compliance standards within their area of responsibility. Their aim is to ensure the delivery of Wastewater Assets sewerage services and activities, which comply with regulatory and customer service standards and contribute to the organization’s overall strategic business aims. The Field Manager will have responsibility for the Belfast Area. Applicants MUST be able to demonstrate in their application and where necessary at interview: ESSENTIAL CRITERIA 1. Possess a third level qualification (Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent) in an engineering, science, business, statistics, mathematics, planning or environmental sector field AND a minimum of two years relevant experience in the water / wastewater industry, to include working operational experience of Wastewater activities and infrastructure, including working knowledge and experience of Wastewater treatment processes, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, management of contractors & customer service delivery (Operational). OR A minimum of four years relevant experience in water or wastewater operations, to include working operational experience of Wastewater activities and infrastructure, including working knowledge and experience of Wastewater treatment processes, minor works improvements, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, management of contractors, scheduling work via the Work Control Centre & Customer service delivery (Operational). 2. Working knowledge of Health and Safety Risk Assessments and control measures and a working knowledge of minor civil engineering projects. 3. Experience in assessing the performance of assets including proven ability to problem solve through use of performance or customer service information/data. 4. Experience of Stakeholder management with excellent interpersonal skills to manage relationships across NI Water and influence at Senior Management Level. 5. A knowledge of Waste Management legislation and be willing to be trained to appropriate level (CoTC); 6. Experience in identifying and allocating resources (people and budgets), measuring performance and monitoring delivery to achieve objectives. 7. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint with experience in analysing, interpreting & reporting of data to draw sound conclusions and a good working knowledge and understanding of the GIS tool. * What is on Offer Salary This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £35,354 to £47,138 per annum (pay award pending). The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
