Hours: 12 hours a week. Working pattern: 2 days (to be mutually agreed) 8:45 - 3:15. Pay: Surrey Pay 3.3.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Admin Assistant to join our friendly office team at St Paul’s CofE Primary School & Nursery in Tongham. This role has a key focus on Nursery and School Admissions, ensuring every family experiences a warm, efficient and welcoming introduction to our school. You will be the first point of contact for many new families, guiding them through application processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring our admissions systems run smoothly. Alongside this, you will support the wider office with day-to-day administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth running of our busy and caring school community.
Responsibilities
* Lead on Nursery and School Admissions, maintaining accurate records and liaising with Surrey County Council and parents/carers.
* Support the school office with daily administrative duties such as correspondence, data entry, filing and responding to enquiries by phone and email.
* Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all record keeping, particularly pupil and admissions data.
* Provide a professional, friendly and welcoming front-of-house service to all visitors and families.
* Assist with general school communications, registers, and administrative systems as required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
* A confident communicator with a calm and friendly manner.
* Skilled in using ICT systems (experience with Arbor would be an advantage, but training can be provided).
* Able to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently as part of a small, supportive team.
* Passionate about helping children and families feel valued and supported from their very first contact with the school.
