We are looking to recruit a Psychology Lecturer to join our Business and Science School based at our London, Bloomsbury campus. As a Psychology Lecturer, you will:
* Design, develop, and deliver learning and teaching across a range of Psychology modules.
* Ensure the effective delivery of teaching programmes according to the University's strategy.
* Contribute to activities that influence leading-edge practice and undertake evidence-based applied practice activities.
Starting salary between £40,250 - £42,250 depending upon skills and experience (plus Location weighting of £4,200). This role operates on a 5-over-7-day working pattern, which may include evenings and weekends to support our flexible delivery model.
As a Psychology Lecturer at The University of Law Business and Science School, you will:
* Teach and assess across the University of Law course portfolio in assigned subjects, including providing feedback on students' performance.
* Act as an academic coach to students, supporting their academic and personal development.
* Assist in marketing, widening participation, and extra-curricular activities.
* Supervise student dissertations and research projects.
* Possess sufficient breadth and depth of professional experience in the relevant discipline to develop teaching programmes and learning support.
* Be professional, credible, and command respect.
Requirements for Lecturer positions include:
* An undergraduate degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA) or willingness to work towards it.
* Relevant teaching qualification or willingness to work towards PGCHE.
* If not currently held, enrollment into the programme is required within 12 months of passing probation, with successful completion essential for the role.
Requirements for Senior Lecturer positions include:
* A postgraduate qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* Fellowship of Advance HE (HEA).
* Relevant teaching qualification.
For Senior Lecturers, significant expertise in applying and delivering a range of teaching techniques, pastoral care, mentoring colleagues, assessments, marking, and team leadership is expected.
