Domestic Assistant
Contract: Permanent, Part time, 20 hours per week
Location: Doveton House, Love Lane, Oldswindford, Stourbridge, West Midlands, DY8 2DZ
Salary: £12.35 per hour
Overview: We have an opportunity for an experienced Domestic Assistant to join the team, working at our Doveton House retirement living scheme. Reporting into the Scheme Manager, this post has a vital role to play in supporting the ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout.
Job Description:
Duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
To clean all areas as identified in the scheme cleaning log.
Ensure that areas such as toilets, bathrooms and showers are disinfected and are maintained to a high standard.
To clean all food preparation areas to a high standard.
To ensure that refuse is collected from all bins and deposited appropriately for collection.
To maintain the guest room at all times to a clean and comfortable standard for use.
To maintain an inventory of materials, toilet rolls and linen and arrange for cleaning and/or replacement.
To work in accordance with COSHH guidelines and ensure the safe and secure keeping of cleaning materials.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Experience of cleaning domestic properties and communal areas.
Ability to work to COSHH guidelines.
Experience of undertaking manual handling activities.
A good understanding of health and safety working practices.
Desirable:
Experience of working in a retirement living environment or similar.
