At Another we are currently looking to hire a HR Advisor to join an established business in the city of Glasgow. Reporting into the HR Operations Lead, you will support all HR transactional processors and first line HR queries. You will work closely with managers and key stakeholders, business wide, to ensure HR services are delivered at a high standard and processes are accurate and optimised. This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR Advisor or a proven senior HR administrator that thrives in a HR operations role. You will need a proven background working across HR transactional services
* Act as the first point of contact for HR related queries relating to contracts, policies, leave, and pay.
* Oversee the full onboarding and exit processes for employees across the UK and EU, ensuring all activities comply with local employment laws.
* Oversee employee contracts, confirm right-to-work documentation, and coordinate pre-employment checks for multiple jurisdictions.
* Manage employee lifecycle changes, including promotions, internal moves, international assignments, and contract updates.
* Keep the HRIS accurately updated and ensure all payroll-related changes are communicated smoothly and on time with payroll provider.
* Review and maintain HR procedures, contracts, and employee documentation to ensure they meet UK and EU legal requirements (such as GDPR, Working Time Regulations, statutory entitlements, and notice rules).
* Keep up to date with UK employment law and local labour laws, updating policies when needed.
* Work with external legal and compliance specialists to support cross-border employment matters.
* Maintain organised, compliant HR records and ensure all files are audit-ready.
* Provide managers with guidance on local employment practices and HR policies across the UK and EU.
* Escalate sensitive or complex issues through the appropriate channels.
* Ensure employee information is kept current and accurate within the HRIS.
* Manage HR documentation securely in accordance with data protection requirements.
* Produce routine and ad-hoc HR reports as needed, such as headcount, joiner/leaver data, and absence reports.
Skills and Experience required:
* CIPD level 3 or equivalent (or working towards)
* Solid experience in a transactional HR operations role, working across the full employment lifecycle, ideally gained in a fast-paced, commercial environment
* An understanding of local employment laws, HR compliance standards, and GDPR
* Experience managing payroll-related processes and working with external payroll providers
* Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office
* Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
* Ideally experience of supporting HR activity across multiple countries
* Previous exposure to HR audits or supporting internal policy reviews
