Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Commissioning Engineer located in the Oxfordshire area. So willingness to travel and stay away from home is a must. The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the successful commissioning of various engineering projects. Day-to-day tasks include developing commissioning and outage plans and other commissioning related documents, chairing meetings and taking minutes, performing system-level testing, troubleshooting issues, documenting results, and collaborating with other engineering teams. The role also involves ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements ie CDM, as well as coordinating with clients and stakeholders to meet project objectives. The knowledge of computer packages including BIM Microsoft Asite Twexnet would be a bonus.
Qualifications
* Experience in system-level testing and troubleshooting
* Proficiency in developing commissioning plans and documentation skills
* Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance in engineering
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work with clients, stakeholders, and engineering teams
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Qualifications in an Engineering or a related field
* Previous experience in a water based commissioning role or similar position is a plus
* EUSR blue card
* CSCS card
* Thames water passport
* SMSTS
* Driving licence
* AP/AE status is a plus
The position would suit an experienced electrical / mechanical / process engineer who is looking to further their career with increased responsibility through progressive training.
It does however require a self-starter and free thinker who is adaptable to change with a high skill level in their work and wiliness to take accountability and problem solve issues that may come up whilst on site.
The position is open to perm or contract workers.
