Are you passionate about supporting young people and making a real difference in their school experience? A well-regarded independent school for girls in Cambridge is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Support Coordinator to join their pastoral team on a term-time only basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience working with young people, particularly within education, safeguarding, or pastoral care, who is looking for a rewarding and structured role within the school year.
As the Student Support Coordinator, you will play a key role in providing pastoral care and daily support to students, helping to create a warm, safe and caring environment within the House. You'll work closely with the Housemistress and wider House Team to ensure routines run smoothly and pupils feel supported and valued.
Key Responsibilities:
* Offer day-to-day pastoral support and guidance to girls within the House
* Assist in the smooth running of daily routines and ensure a positive and respectful environment
* Work collaboratively with the Housemistress and colleagues to address any wellbeing or safeguarding concerns
* Promote the welfare and wellbeing of students, supporting with any issues that arise during the school day
* Be a trusted adult presence who helps uphold the school's values and standards
* A background in working with young people, ideally in education, residential care, youth work, or a safeguarding-related role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A calm, supportive, and proactive approach
* A genuine passion for helping young people thrive both emotionally and academically
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
