To work across health, education and social services settings combining the traditional roles of both health and social services occupational therapists as part of an integrated occupational therapy service for children, young people and their families.
To act as a source of clinical expertise and advice on occupational therapy client care for occupational therapy colleagues, other health professionals and colleagues working in external agencies, within the scope of own skills and knowledge.
A valid Manual Car driver license is mandatory for this post as it is community-based.
The successful candidate will provide a high quality standard of occupational therapy assessment, management, treatment and advice for a caseload of children with a wide range of developmental difficulties and/or disabilities, some of whom may have complex or multiple pathologies.
The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner complying with the standards set by the Health & Care Professions Council, College of Occupational Therapy, Croydon Health Services and the department, thereby being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work.
