Role Overview
The Gas Safe Engineer will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across gas equipment within the client asset register, along with mechanical installation works as required. The role requires a proactive and professional engineer who can work efficiently, maintain high safety standards, and deliver excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on all gas equipment listed on the client asset register
* Complete mechanical installation works as directed by the line manager
* Receive deliveries of materials and check delivery notes
* Pass delivery documentation to the site foreman / relevant manager
* Complete worksheets accurately and submit to head office on a weekly basis
* Assess plant condition and submit Life Expired reports where necessary
* Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with client specifications
* Identify and compile remedial works required following PPM visits
* Support the Contracts Manager with remedial work quotations and costings
* Order materials for jobs and submit related paperwork weekly
* Attend training courses and health & safety sessions as required
* Report accidents or incidents in line with company procedures
* Complete accident report forms as directed by site management
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in gas maintenance, servicing, and repairs
* Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance works
* Good understanding of health & safety procedures
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Good paperwork and reporting standards
Qualifications
* Valid Gas Safe Registration
* Relevant domestic/commercial gas qualifications
* Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
