The Dorset Library Service comprises 23 libraries and a 24/7 online service. Our mission is to Inspire, Enable, and Connect communities through access to books, information, and technology, including public computers and iPads. We also run a variety of events and activities for all ages, fostering a welcoming environment for everyone.
About The Role
This position offers students an insight into library operations, skill development, confidence building, and support for future career decisions. Responsibilities include engaging with customers, assisting with locating stock and accessing the internet, supporting event planning and execution, and creating content for social media.
Location: Dorchester Library.
Who Can Apply
Students in Year 10-13.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a friendly welcome to all library visitors.
* Assist users with stock, information, and computer access.
* Support customers using Self Service machines.
* Help with shelving, displays, and other library duties.
* Assist in organizing and supporting library events and activities.
* Promote library services to visitors.

* Hours: Monday to Friday, 10am-4pm
