Where does this role fit in?
As part of our Corporate Finance team, this role supports the growth of Pobl's property portfolio, which aims to expand by 10,000 affordable homes in the next decade. Reporting to the Head of New Business, Property & Financial Planning, the role ensures investment decisions are based on rigorous financial analysis and sound accounting practices. It acts as a bridge between viability, planning, and property accounting, ensuring a seamless process up to property handover.

This high-impact role involves financial modelling, analysis, and leadership to influence investment and growth across South Wales. The role is part of a job share, working 24 hours per week, leading a small team evaluating new opportunities. Using Excel, option appraisal tools, and Brixx, you will provide insights to inform multi-million-pound decisions. The role spans development, asset management, care, and support, supporting business planning, option appraisals, financial analysis, audit, and compliance. It is varied, challenging, and impactful for the communities served.
Skills and Experience Required
* A qualified CCAB accountant with advanced Excel skills (Brixx modelling desirable)
* Analytical, detail-focused, confident in challenging assumptions
* Experience evaluating capital investment schemes and revenue viability in care/support settings
* Knowledge of property accounting and its role in development
* Strong communicator, effective stakeholder collaborator
* Experienced team leader, capable of developing others and fostering high performance
* Methodical, able to manage complex priorities
* Enthusiastic about improving systems and processes
