The Role
As a Principal FEA Engineer, you will lead complex FE analysis tasks, supporting product development throughout the design lifecycle using your deep technical expertise.
* Provide technical support to key customers, ensuring effective delivery of engineering outputs.
* Perform analyses predominantly using ANSYS for linear/non-linear, static/dynamic, structural, thermodynamic, and multi-physics studies, including kinematics and force analysis.
* Implement verification and validation processes, and train engineers in stress analysis.
* Develop analytical methodologies for stress analysis optimization and translate results into practical design outputs.
This is a full-time role (35 hours/week) with hybrid working: 2 days in-office and 3 days remote.
Essential Experience
* Deep professional expertise in FEA; previous defence or marine experience is not required.
* Proficiency in the use and application of ANSYS.
Qualifications
* Degree in engineering or equivalent with extensive relevant experience, including post-degree experience.
