Job Description
Job purpose
To play a leading role in ensuring the University achieves the objectives of its Learning and Teaching Strategy through delivery of key initiatives for curriculum and assessment transformation and student skills development. Collaborate with Learning and Teaching Strategy Unit colleagues, other Strategy initiatives in Student and Academic Services, and various stakeholders to coordinate and achieve objectives.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of the Learning and Teaching Strategy Unit (LTSU):
* Develop, implement, and embed projects that support the L&T Strategy.
* Support the development and implementation of digital assessment tools and curriculum mapping for a programmatic approach to learning design and delivery.
* Develop and support efficient processes for curriculum approval and review, including system recommendations and implementation support.
* Establish partnerships with university stakeholders to ensure tool integration and strategic planning of curriculum and assessment development, emphasizing student-centered, active learning, and skills-related courses.
* Provide information to and interact with related systems to meet university standards for academic quality and standards.
* Contribute to streamlining university regulations and support quality assurance and enhancement activities within Student and Academic Services.
* Participate actively in team meetings, planning, and resource management.
* Undertake additional duties as assigned by the Head of LTSU.
Knowledge /Qualifications
Essential:
o A1: Demonstrated professional knowledge and management skills in similar roles or Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework levels 9-11, including relevant qualifications or professional accreditation.
o A2: Well-developed understanding of academic structures, systems, and quality assurance processes in a multi-faculty university.
Desirable:
o B1: Solid understanding of academic principles, research methodologies, and educational systems.

Terms and Conditions
Salary: Grade 8, £49,559 - £57,422 per annum. Full-time (35 hrs/week), permanent. Closing date: 23:45, 9 June 2025.
