The company is a small family run business offering a true American BBQ experience in the heart of Coatbridge.
They cater for around 46 sit in covers and also have a busy takeaway and delivery service.
The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hrs per week, 5 over 7 days.
Shift patterns will be mostly in the evenings and weekends; however, this can change to support business needs. Open 7 days a week between the hours of 9.00am & 10.00pm.
Pay rate will be Real Living Wage.
Duties:
-The successful candidate will be required to prepare meals for delivery and service to the company
-Taking care to make sure that all food is cooked correctly and adhering to any allergy requirements
-The kitchen is required to be always kept clean and tidy. The kitchen is quite small, and it is essential that a strict clean as you go policy is followed
-Opening and closing procedures must be followed and completed at the start and finish of every shift, all records will be kept up to date and all HACCP procedures followed as per the cook safe manual.
Person:
-Good time keeping is essential as shift change overs cannot affect any service.
-A high standard of hygiene and personal presentation is essential.
-The successful applicant would require REHIS Food Hygiene training prior to starting employment.
Desireable Criteria:
-Some knowledge of a kitchen and cooking environment are desired but not essential as training for food safety and allergens will be given on starting employment.
Training in level 2 food Hygiene and allergens will be given on commencement of employment. Further on job training will be given in relation to cooking, stock ordering and record keeping.
