Job Purpose:
Technology Service Operations (TSO) Transport Services manage over a hundred services, applications, and systems supporting TFL’s transport system. The Service Design Lead will oversee new or changed services, ensuring they meet requirements and are smoothly transitioned into BAU. The role involves collaboration with various technical and project teams to shape service design with a focus on operation, compliance, and assurance.
Key Accountabilities:
* Define and document non-functional service requirements for new or changed services.
* Establish service acceptance criteria for project approval.
* Manage changes according to contracts and security standards.
* Ensure proper documentation and data management.
* Update business and service catalogs.
* Collaborate with Service Performance Manager to ensure service requirements are met and tested.
* Lead service design aspects for technical changes, including impact assessments.
* Engage with business and project managers to align service design with end-user needs.
* Build relationships across the organization and with stakeholders.
* Present projects and seek approvals as needed.
Key Interfaces:
* Senior TfL stakeholders, department heads, project teams, suppliers, and other partners.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
Skills:
* Ability to influence senior leaders.
* Experience managing complex technical interactions and delivering quality services.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Leadership and motivation skills.
Knowledge:
* Degree in relevant field or professional experience.
* ITIL certification.
* Knowledge of software development, DevOps, project management methodologies, cloud services, and ITSM tools.
* Understanding of public transportation IT applications and financial processes.
Experience:
* Experience in a service design role within complex IT service environments.
* Proven track record in managing technical changes and service integration.
