Are you passionate about inspiring young people through sport? The Southampton Solent University (in partnership with Bitterne Park School) is seeking an energetic School Games Organiser to champion physical activity in schools to help deliver an inclusive, engaging School Games programme. You will help coordinate and promote competitive sports opportunities across Key Stages 2–4, working closely with local schools, national partners and group of volunteers. Key responsibilities include supporting schools to provide 60 active minutes every day for every child, planning and executing inter-school competitions, and targeting activity for less active groups including girls, BAME, SEND and students from low socio-economic backgrounds. You’ll facilitate leadership and volunteering roles for school students, nurture community partnerships, and ensure all activities champion diversity and wellbeing.
The ideal candidate brings experience in event coordination, sport development or teaching, is highly organised, and demonstrates outstanding communication and partnership-building skills. Knowledge of national sport strategies and a commitment to equality and safeguarding are essential.
