Role Summary
We are seeking a proactive, commercially minded Junior Buyer - Paint (also known as Assistant Product Sourcing Manager) to join our EMEA buying team. You will manage your category end-to-end, oversee supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and drive performance in costs, rebates, and P&L. Your role involves engaging with the full product lifecycle—from onboarding vendors to product delivery in-store.
This role offers a unique insight into product design, development, and delivery, especially for our Own Brand portfolio, with opportunities for travel to supplier meetings and factories.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to support product development, margins, and strategic decisions.
2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through supplier discovery and benchmarking.
3. Manage projects and contracts effectively, ensuring compliance with Kingfisher standards and sustainability policies.
4. Serve as the main contact for vendors, ensuring adherence to sourcing, packaging, and branding policies.
5. Support the implementation of the OEB vendor strategy and contribute to the Supplier Relationship Management program to optimize the supply base.
