Your technical expertise and attention to detail will help keep our services running smoothly and our customers moving every day.Shift PatternEarly Shift:
1. Monday to Thursday: 05:00 – 13:00
2. Sunday: 06:00 – 14:00
Pay & Benefits
3. £24.46 per hour
4. Overtime rate: £36.20 per hour
What You’ll Do
5. Carry out thorough daily vehicle inspections to identify faults, defects, or safety issues
6. Respond to on-road breakdowns, diagnosing faults and completing minor repairs where possible
7. Support both planned and unplanned maintenance activities within the workshop
8. Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, legal, and engineering standards
9. Accurately complete service sheets, inspection reports, and maintenance records
10. Work collaboratively with fellow engineers, supervisors, and operations teams to keep services running
What We’re Looking For
11. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering, Vehicle Maintenance, or a related discipline
12. Previous experience within a bus, PSV, HGV, or automotive engineering environment
13. Strong understanding of industry standards, safety procedures, and diagnostic techniques
14. Confidence working independently and following technical instructions
15. Good mechanical skills with experience using workshop tools and equipment
16. Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks
17. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends
