QUALITY MANAGER
£45,000 - £50,000 (with a little bit of flexiblity on that)
Cheshire
If you like your operations tight, your audits tidy, and your standards higher than a CrossFit PB board… this one’s for you.
We’re looking for a Quality Manager to take the reins at a leading UK manufacturer in the wider food & active-lifestyle space. This is a properly hands-on role: sleeves rolled up, on the floor, shaping behaviours, and bringing people with you on the quality journey — not sitting in an office sending reminders no one reads.
What you’ll be doing:
* Guarding our BRC AA like it’s the crown jewels.
* Owning the full audit cycle: prep → delivery → follow-up.
* Staying ahead of BRC, GMP and UK/EU regulatory updates.
* Running the QMS and keeping documentation genuinely current.
* Leading internal audits and making sure corrective actions actually happen.
* Working with certification bodies, regulators, and customers.
* Supporting additional accreditations (ISO, customer standards).
* Managing bonded warehouse compliance with HMRC.
* Coaching teams so quality becomes instinctive, not enforced.
* Collaborating closely with production, supply chain, technical, and supplier QA.
* Approving artwork, supporting import/export docs, and managing complaints.
Who you’ll need to be:
* Experienced in quality/compliance within food, pharma, or active-lifestyle consumer goods.
* Fluent in BRC, comfortable with GMP, confident with UK/EU frameworks.
* Someone who takes ownership, brings structure, and isn’t shy about voicing what needs attention — constructively, collaboratively, and with the bigger picture in mind.
* Naturally organised, detail-driven, and able to influence without ever feeling heavy-handed.
* Bonus points for ISO or bonded warehouse experience.
If you love turning “we should probably fix that” into “we’ve already sorted it,” and you enjoy building a culture where quality isn’t a department — it’s how everyone works — this is your stage.
