Type: 6 month Fixed-Term contract
Join us in supporting high-profile scientific research projects! Ideal for dynamic individuals keen on natural sciences. Responsibilities include field, lab, and desk work supporting various projects within biological sciences.
Responsibilities:
1. Catalog culture collection and quality check inventory.
2. Assist in maintaining plant and biocontrol agent stock.
3. Field collection of live material and insect agents.
4. Rearing and collection of insect agents.
5. Support studies on the life history of biocontrol agents.
6. Assist in field releases and monitoring of biocontrol agents.
7. Undertake literature reviews and data gathering.
8. Support weekend/holiday watering of plants.
Experience:
Essential:
9. Passion for natural sciences.
10. Proven ability to plan and deliver work weekly.
11. Ability to follow detailed scientific/technical instructions.
12. ⏰ Work to set schedules and deadlines.
Desirable:
13. Interest in botany, entomology, plant pathology, and biological control.
14. ️ Experience in controlled environment facilities.
15. Valid driving license.
Education & Qualifications:
16. BSc in a biological science (botany, plant pathology, entomology, or ecology).
