As a Mental Health Care Assistant, you will provide person‑centred care and support to residents with complex mental health conditions. You will promote independence, choice, and positive daily routines, ensuring each individual's needs and preferences are respected. You will follow personalised care plans, observe and report any changes in residents' wellbeing, and work closely with clinical leads to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained. Your empathy, patience, and professionalism will help create a calm and nurturing environment where residents can thrive.
Qualifications
* At least six months of experience supporting individuals with mental health needs (ideally within a care setting)
* NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is preferred but not essential
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
* A patient, compassionate, and understanding nature
* A team‑focused approach with a commitment to person‑centred care
