Rate of Pay: £35.62 - £45.77 per hour
Summary:
Southern Housing is seeking a commercially astute and results-driven Commercial Manager to oversee and enhance the commercial performance of our property services and construction projects. This role is key in ensuring financial control, contractor performance, and effective stakeholder collaboration.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage commercial aspects of construction, refurbishment, and maintenance contracts.
* Support procurement processes including tendering, evaluation, and appointment of contractors and consultants.
* Monitor contract performance, ensure KPIs are met, and deliver value-for-money outcomes.
* Provide commercial oversight on cost planning, valuations, and final accounts.
* Develop and implement commercial strategies to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction, or a related discipline.
* Member of RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building), or equivalent (desirable).
Essentials:
* Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in a commercial management role within housing, property services, or construction sectors.
* Experience with cost control, procurement, risk management, and contractor performance monitoring
* Track record of managing commercial performance across large-scale property portfolios or housing projects.
