Seeking a dynamic Disassembly Technician to join my aviation engineering client in West London. You will disassemble aircraft components using hand tools, prior to their repair & overhaul. Care must be taken to avoid causing damage to any individual components. Ideal candidates must have some hands on mechanical employment experience (e.g. aviation or car mechanic or similar), plus be confident in the use of hand tools and working accurately to instruction manuals. Role: Disassembly Technician - Permanent Position Location: West London Pay: From £25,627 plus shift allowance Hours: 40 Hours per week, Mon-Fri. (Week 1- early shift, Week 2 late shift) Candidates MUST hold right to work within the UK without any restrictions. No sponsorships can be offered now or in the future. Job Responsibilities Disassemble aviation components I.A.W the manufacturer instructions (CMM). Avoid additional damages. Work to tight deadlines. Report to Team Leader if damage occurs so that improvements can be investigated. Embrace an open reporting culture. Carry out missing and damaged inspections Ideal Candidate Profile: Equivalent to GCSE A-C grades Qualification in an engineering subject would be desirable It would be advantageous but not essential that the applicant would have served an apprenticeship within a mechanical assembly / disassembly environment. Illustrate previous knowledge and experience of use of hand tools. Good knowledge, awareness and understanding of PPE. Previous use of overhead cranes and forklifts would be preferable.
