Campus Facilities Manager

Contract Type: Temporary – Sickness Cover (until end of September, with potential extension)

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Campus Facilities Manager to join our client on a temporary basis, covering sickness absence until the end of September (with the possibility of extension).
In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of campus facilities, ensuring that buildings, grounds, and services are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with all relevant regulations. You will oversee maintenance schedules, manage contractors, and work closely with internal teams to deliver a high standard of service across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the effective running of facilities and estates across the campus
* Manage planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring minimal disruption to campus activities
* Ensure compliance with health & safety, fire safety, and statutory requirements
* Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers
* Support staff and students with facilities-related queries and requirements
* Monitor budgets and ensure efficient use of resources
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in facilities management (ideally in an educational or campus setting)
* Strong knowledge of health & safety, compliance, and building regulations
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage contractors and lead a small team
* Strong communication skills and a hands-on, practical approach
