Responsibilities
* Build and manage a pipeline of high‑value statutory and foundation funders.
* Provide outstanding grant stewardship, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.
* Maintain accurate and robust CRM and financial records.
* Line‑manage and develop the Trusts and Grants Officer.
* Lead the planning and delivery of large‑scale, outcome‑driven proposals across conservation, policy and engagement teams.
* Develop complex budgets, manage funder relationships and ensure every grant achieves maximum impact and aligns with strategic priorities.
Qualifications
* Experience securing UK statutory grants (including devolved nations) at 6‑7 figures.
* Proven experience developing sustained, positive relationships with grant‑makers.
* Experience with complex budget development, project reporting and claims for multi‑annual grants.
* Proven line management or mentoring experience.
* A strong grasp of grant compliance for statutory funding.
* Demonstrable knowledge of the statutory grants sector in the UK/devolved nations.
* Knowledge of project management.
* Ability to produce well‑written and compelling proposals and reports.
* Proficiency with MS Excel and CRM systems.
* Excellent bid writing and case building skills.
