The Role – RF Test Engineer (Watford, Hertfordshire, West London)
As an RF Test Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting new product development through testing, tuning, and modifying RF PCBs and assemblies. You will play a key role in ensuring products meet performance standards while also supporting the day-to-day running of the RF laboratory.
Key responsibilities include:
* Testing and measuring RF PCBs and assemblies using VNA, Spectrum Analysers, Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, and Power Meters
* Carrying out PCB modification and rework to IPC standards
* Building and assembling prototype boards, modules, and chassis
* Supporting RF engineers with development, testing, and validation activities
* Setting up and operating test equipment under varying conditions
* Assisting with lab organisation, calibration, and maintenance of equipment
* Managing stock of components, consumables, and test equipment
* Supporting test automation using Python or LabVIEW (desirable)
Requirements – RF Test Engineer (Watford, Hertfordshire, West London)
To be successful in this RF Test Engineer role in Watford, Hertfordshire (West London), you should have:
* Experience in RF testing, electronics testing, or a similar engineering environment
* Strong hands-on experience with RF test equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyser, Oscilloscope, etc.)
* Ability to read and interpret schematics and PCB layouts
* Experience in PCB assembly, soldering, and modification
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow structured test procedures and document results
* Exposure to Python or LabVIEW for test automation (advantageous)
* Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, and general reporting tools
