Small Animal Vet - 12-Month FTC - Winchester. We’re looking for a Small Animal Vet to join our thriving practice in Winchester for a 12-month fixed term contract, starting in early August. Whether you\'re seeking full-time or part-time hours, we\'re open to discussing what works for you.
Our practice is a bustling, well-equipped hospital with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and bronchoscopy facilities. You\'ll be part of a large, supportive team consisting of 14 vets, including certificate holders in cardiology, surgery and dermatology, and a nursing team of RVNs, student nurses and PCAs. We prioritise collaboration and knowledge-sharing, making it a fantastic environment for someone who enjoys discussing cases and mentoring newer graduates.
Salary is up to £55,000 FTE depending on experience. While this is initially a 12-month contract, there is a possibility of extension.

There is no out-of-hours work as we have MiNightVet on-site, but you\'ll need to be available for 1 in 3 Saturdays. Parking is available on site, and we\'re easily accessible by train and road.

Responsibilities
* Provide first-opinion small animal care and surgery with confidence.
* Participate in consultations and case discussions within a collaborative team.
* Mentor newer graduates and share knowledge within the practice.
* Work a 1 in 3 Saturdays schedule; no on-site out-of-hours work due to MiNightVet on-site.
* Collaborate with a team of 14 vets and nursing staff in a well-equipped hospital.
Qualifications
* Ideally 4–5 years of experience in small animal practice.
* Confidence in first-opinion surgery and consultations.
