Solutions Architect Designer
Our Client, a Telecoms company, is looking to recruit a seasoned professional who has at least 5 to 10 years experience as a Solutions Architect Designer.
You will be involved in developing and implementing systems architecture designs that will meet business needs.
Responsibilities
1. Designing innovative solutions based on business requirements.
2. Creating functional specifications.
3. Assessing the current software systems in place to identify areas for improvement.
4. Overseeing development teams.
5. Participating and leading projects requiring in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards.
6. Designing technology solutions by modeling requirements and applying standard application methodology best practices.
7. Resolving technical problems as they arise.
8. Researching current and emerging technologies and proposing necessary changes.
9. Maintaining and updating Enterprise Architecture documentation.
10. Building and integrating information systems to meet the company’s needs.
11. Assessing the current systems architecture and recommending improvements in collaboration with the Enterprise Architect.
12. Informing stakeholders about any problems with current technical solutions.
13. Assessing the business impact of technical choices.
14. Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes.
15. Managing stakeholder expectations regarding appropriate milestones and deadlines.
16. Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.
17. Ensuring IT Security standards are incorporated by design, ensuring compliance with required standards (ISO27001) and supporting improvement initiatives.
18. Supporting health and safety, environmental, business continuity, and information security arrangements that meet obligations to customers.
Minimum Requirements
1. Proven experience in engineering and software solution design.
2. In-depth understanding of integration techniques & modern coding languages.
3. Telco Site Management software design/development.
4. Integration knowledge (SOAP, Rest APIs, Middleware Biztalk).
5. Data Warehouse design & optimization.
6. ITIL/Remedy experience.
7. Experience using Enterprise Architecture tools.
8. Hons Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Engineering.
9. Togaf certification.
10. Knowledge of Cloud architectures.
The Client is located close to Reading – ideally, you will be living within 60 minutes commuting distance.
You will be working from home remotely for 2 to 3 days a week and/or working from the office 2 days a week.
The salary for this role will be in the range £75K - £90K plus benefits.
