The Governors of West Bretton Junior and Infant School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring individual to work within our energetic and dynamic team starting in April .
West Bretton Primary School, a vibrant and nurturing school located in the heart of our beautiful village. We are a small, semi-rural primary school brimming with enthusiasm and energy. You will be responsible for dealing with routine face to face and telephone enquires – liaising with teaching staff, parents and school partners. You will provide routine administration support across the school – this includes a range of varied tasks from maintaining records, photocopying, organising school visits.
The role also encompasses school business manager duties you are responsible for the strategic and operational management of the school's finances, HR, and administration. In a small setting, this often requires balancing high-level strategy with daily tasks.
The office is also responsible for monitoring pupil attendance and safeguarding and you will be working as part of the team and use your discretion and integrity.

What skills and experience are we looking for?
We are seeking to appoint an applicant who has:
1. Proven experience in a senior administrative role within a busy environment, ideally in a school or similar organisation.
2. Strong organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
3. Experience of financial administration and budget monitoring.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. High level of ICT competence, including management information and financial systems.
6. Strong understanding of confidentiality, data protection, and compliance requirements.
7. Experience of working in a school environment.
8. Knowledge of school finance systems and procedures.
9. Experience of line managing staff.
10. Relevant qualification in business administration, finance, or school business management.
