This is a new role specifically been created for our Grimsby site to support our onsite Head of Occupational Health & Wellbeing on on-site clinics. You will contribute to the wider Occupational Health agenda. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to develop into this role.
Main Responsibilities
* Carry out health surveillance under the supervision of the OHA.
* Carry out other medicals under the supervision of the OHA including new starter medicals.
* Support the OHA with the wellbeing agenda at site including health promotion.
* Support with OH admin duties at site.
* Understand the role of Occupational Health and the limitations to the role of the OH Technician.
* Understand and comply with Health and Safety legislation.
* Assist with record keeping to the required NMC standards.
Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities
* As a valued site colleague, you always have a duty of care to protect 2SFG and customer food safety and quality during site activities.
* To maintain the food safety (HACCP) plan requirements, traceability and quality.
* You have a legal duty of care to work to fundamentals of UK food law.
* You must always work to agreed and defined site policies, procedures, SOP’s and instructional signage ensuring you are always doing the right thing.

Health & Safety Responsibilities

* Work in a safe manner and observe the site health and safety rules and procedures.
* Correctly use the protective clothing and equipment provided and not misuse equipment.
* Report any safety concern promptly to your manager.
* Take action to prevent injury if it is safe to do so.
* Report all injuries that occur at work and obtain the necessary first aid treatment.
* Help in the investigation of accidents to prevent recurrence.

Ideal Candidate
Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications / Training
* Audiometry, and Spirometry training.
* Ability to apply skill and knowledge to a variety of situations using a pragmatic and common-sense approach.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
* Excellent ICT skills – Microsoft Office.
* Ability to develop professional relationships and credibility with management and employees at multiple factory units.
* Knowledge of a fast-moving food manufacturing environment is preferred.
* High attention to detail.
* Open and approachable fair manner.
* Flexibility to attend training courses and development days and sessions.
